Matching in Cities

چکیده
Abstract Using administrative German data, we show that large cities allow for a more efficient matching between workers and firms this has important consequences geographical inequality. Specifically, the match high-quality plants is significantly tighter in relative to small cities. Wages are higher not only because of worker quality but also stronger assortative matching. Strong magnifies wage differences caused by sorting, key factor explaining growth disparities over last three decades.

Endogenous Job Destruction and Job Matching in Cities
We propose a spatial search-matching model where both job creation and job destruction are endogenous. Workers are ex ante identical but not ex post since their job can be hit by a technological shock, which decreases their productivity. They reside in a city and commuting to the job center involves both pecuniary and time costs. Thus, workers with high wages are willing to live closer to jobs ...
متن کاملEnhancing Alignment Results in Ontology Matching for Smart Cities
In this paper we propose the use of an ontology matching algorithm to guarantee the interoperability of the different agents that integrate an smart city. In this sort of environment the different parties need to cooperate and to integrate their information in order to provide enhanced services to the users of the smart city. As the information of these parties may be described by means of diff...

RepMatch: Robust Feature Matching and Pose for Reconstructing Modern Cities
A perennial problem in recovering 3-D models from images is repeated structures common in modern cities. The problem can be traced to the feature matcher which needs to match less distinctive features (permitting wide-baselines and avoiding broken sequences), while simultaneously avoiding incorrect matching of ambiguous repeated features. To meet this need, we develop RepMatch, an epipolar guid...
